Joanne Taylor Joanne Taylor was born in the
middle of Africa,then northern
Rhodesia during ''suicide
month'in 1952.She grew up
steeped in the overpowering
vitality of the jungle.Her
earliest memories are of
violent thunderstorms,giant
insects and the sound of
wooden drums.''My art,like any
creative activity,is simply a
reflection of process.I
watch,bemused,as this mind
plays its games.Essentially I
see life as a joyful cosmic
joke in which we unwittingly
create our own limiting
rules.Painting is for me a way
of expressing a smile,are
reminder not to take myself
too seriously
