Douglas Ferris Douglas Ferris was born in
Dublin, in 1975. Where he
grew up in the picturesque
surroundings of County
Meath. It was here that he
found his passion for fine art
at an early age.
Douglas attended Dún
Laoghaire College of Art and
Design for three years, and
continued to further his
studies by completing a Post-
Grad at The University of
West of England (Bristol).
Where he was taught under
the prestigous animator, Nick
Park, who is most famous
for ‘Wallace and Gromit’.
Douglas has worked in many
countries broadening his
talents as an artist & animator
and has worked on numerous
projects, as a designer, for
Disney. With his vast
experience in Fine Art and
Animation, has been
commissioned to do many
pieces
He currently resides in
Wicklow, where he works as
illustrator-designer for
Garlanna greeting cards. He is
also currently working on a
piece for the National Portrait
Competition in London.
