Susan Buttner Susan Buttner born 1967 in
Dublin and currently working
from Ongar Studio / Gallery in
Clonee, Largely self taught,
her early interest in oil
painting led her to study at
the National College of Art
and Design. Concentrating
on a select series of abstract
urban and rural landscapes,
Susan is passionate about
Ireland and its traditional
white wash houses and out
buildings. She sets out to
claim the land, conveying the
Irish pride in the field, the
homestead, the trees, all
outlined in thick petrol black.
Her work is distinctly Irish and
is held in important private
and public collections in
Ireland, Britain, Australia and
USA.
